Another concerning data point from the Federal Trade Commission is that child identity theft surged by 40% between 2021 and 2024.<\/p>\n<p>LSEG Risk Intelligence joins \u00a0Child Identity Protection (CHIP) in bringing their financial and child rights experience together to tackle the rising problem of Child Identity Theft. As the Executive Director she brings with her leadership, project management and research skills to ensure that children\u2019s identity rights are better protected worldwide.\u00a0 She has provided technical support, mostly on behalf on UNICEF, through evaluation missions in Cambodia, Denmark, Egypt, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Sudan, Ukraine and Viet Nam, legislative reviews and training in over 20 countries focusing on alternative care, adoption and surrogacy. She has contributed to reforms in international standards through this support as well as comparative research on illegal adoptions, search for origins, risks of financial contributions, kafalah and was an expert to the HCCH WG on illicit adoption practices and WG on parentage\/surrogacy. She has successfully led multiple international inter-agency initiatives including three massive online courses that have reached over 50,000 participants. McCormack currently serves as a Deputy Special Agent in Charge of the Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York Field Office. In this executive-level position, Mr. McCormack provides operational oversight of all investigative and administrative functions of the HSI personnel operating within the El Dorado Task Force (EDTF).<br \/>\nThe EDTF is an HSI NY led elite, multinational law enforcement coalition dedicated to combating complex financial crimes, high-value fraud, and the illicit financial networks of narcotics cartels and other transnational criminal organizations (TCOs). By harnessing cutting-edge artificial intelligence, blockchain analytics, and cyber forensic capabilities, the EDTF systematically disrupts illicit financial ecosystems and ensures justice for victims through asset recovery and repatriation.<br \/>\nPrior to this assignment, Mr. McCormack served as Deputy Special Agent in Charge of HSI New York\u2019s National Security Division (NSD). The NSD consists of over 240 members from more than 20 federal, state and local law enforcement agencies throughout the New York area of responsibility. In addition to the operational aspects of the NSD, Mr. McCormack oversaw the HSI New York Intelligence program as well as all operational functions of the Special Response Team (SRT) and Tactics Program.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. McCormack was the Assistant Attach\u00e9 for HSI Attach\u00e9 Vienna, Austria from 2014-2018. He was the lead diplomatic and law enforcement representative for the U.S. Government on all DHS equities related to multi-lateral international cooperation, criminal investigations, and U.S. national security in over twenty European countries.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. McCormack served as a Subject Matter Expert for HSI&#8217;s $800M case management modernization initiative at HSI headquarters in Washington, D.C., where he led multiple integrated project teams for software\/interface design, development, and implementation.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. McCormack has been presented with multiple DHS Director\u2019s Awards and has received numerous foreign and domestic awards and commendations.
