PARTNERS | THEMATIC WORKING GROUP TO END CHILDHOOD STATELESSNESS

As part of the Global Alliance to End Statelessness, UNICEF and Child Identity Protection (CHIP) co-chair the thematic working group (TWG) to end childhood statelessness currently consisting of governments, international bodies, UN agencies, civil society organisations, organisations led by lived experience and academics. The TWG seeks to facilitate collaboration between interested groups to raise awareness about opportunities to ensure that every child has a nationality. Based on its Annual Work Plan, its strategic activities are grouped at an international, regional and national level. It has quarterly meetings with its first knowledge sharing webinar to be held on 13 November 2025 on solutions to end childhood statelessness.
