
Training at leading Universities on the Child’s Right to Identity
Over the year, Mia Dambach, Executive Director was able to provide a number of lectures at the University of Geneva and University of Leiden. In Switzerland, Mia spoke to the Masters students about rethinking intercountry adoptions from the perspective of the child’s right to identity. She then tag teamed with Nigel Cantwell to speak about identity rights during the summer school on children’s rights in June. In the Netherlands, Mia spoke during their summer school to students about the child’s right to identity in emergency settings. Finally, to end the year, she spoke to the students completing advanced LLM on children’s rights on the identity rights in adoption and surrogacy. CHIP is privileged to have these opportunities to build capacity of the upcoming generations of children’s advocates.
